The Portsmouth Academy is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic Associate Leader: Maths and Numeracy to lead our Maths department and teach our students from years7-11.The successful candidate will lead by example, developing, inspiring and motivating their team. You will be committed to continually improving the quality of education and performance within the department, ensuring that both staff and students achieve high standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher who is now looking for promotion in a supportive Academy or for an established Leader looking to continue the improvement journey that this department has already successfully started.Alongside the leadership of Maths, you will also play a significant role in whole school development.

•Be the lead professional for the quality of provision in Maths.
•Determine the strategic development of Maths provision in the school.
•Work with the SLT and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
•Share responsibility for senior leadership and management of the Academy, ensuring continual improvement and high-quality, engaging, and fulfilling cognitive education for all students.
•Develop an ethos of high expectations for staff and students through the leadership of Maths to further improve student outcomes.
