What skills and experience we're looking for

At All Saints Academy Plymouth, we believe every family deserves a trusted partner who will work alongside them to help their child thrive. Our vision is rooted in love, dignity and high aspiration, and we know that the strongest outcomes are achieved when school and home work together. We are looking for an exceptional Family Engagement Officer to join our growing attendance and pastoral team, supporting families to overcome barriers to attendance and helping every young person engage successfully with education.

This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference by building strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers, ensuring that families feel listened to, supported and empowered. Working alongside our attendance, safeguarding and inclusion teams, you will coordinate personalised packages of support, carry out home visits, and work collaboratively with families to improve attendance and strengthen engagement with school. This is a practical, rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same. We particularly welcome applications from people with strong links to the local community who share our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish.

Experience in education is welcomed but not essential. We are looking for people with the right values, commitment and willingness to learn. Whether your experience is in education, youth work, family support, social care, community development or another people-centred profession, if you are passionate about improving outcomes for children and families, we would love to hear from you.
