Attendance Administrator job summary
Are you looking for a position where you will be truly valued? Have you previously shown loyalty and longevity in roles as an Administrator? If you have answered ‘Yes’ , then we have great news for you! We are looking for an Attendance Administrator to join us at Bournville Academy.
The postholder will play a key role in promoting excellent attendance and punctuality by maintaining accurate records, supporting students and families, and working closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams. Applicants will join a well-led and motivated team committed to continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include to:
- Manage and maintain daily attendance registers using the school’s MIS
- Monitor attendance and punctuality across all year groups
- Follow up absences promptly with parents/carers via phone, email, and letters
- Identify and report attendance concerns, persistent absence, and patterns of lateness
- Support attendance panels, meetings, and interventions
- Ensure all attendance procedures meet statutory requirements and safeguarding standards
- Liaise with tutors, Heads of Year, DSLs, and the Local Authority as required
