Attendance Administrator job summary

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and motivated individual who is ready to make a real difference in the lives of our students. The ideal candidate will support the pastoral team the effective implementation of attendance protocols and providing cover to the Student Services office to effectively safeguard all students. This role combines strategic administrative support with frontline student services responsibilities to improve student attendance and enhance student wellbeing and school operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate student records using Class Charts and SIMS and follow-ups with parents and carers.
  • Collate, prepare and distribute reports and documentations to support school operations while accurately maintaining and storing securely all records.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, attendance officers and external agencies regarding student attendance and welfare while providing courteous and effective communication to all.
  • Act as the first point of contact for student welfare concerns and administer and manage first aid incidents appropriately.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills (e.g., GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
  • Enthusiasm, good listening skills, and an ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic IT skills and experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.

Training will be provided, so prior experience is not essential, however an interest in 'Bringing out the Best' in every student/pupil in their learning outcomes.
