What skills and experience we're looking for

Little London Academy is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Attendance and Family Support Coordinator to play a key role in improving attendance, supporting families and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, families, academy staff and external agencies to provide high-quality attendance, safeguarding and early help support. They will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people, building positive relationships with families and helping to remove barriers to learning and engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting children and families and who shares our determination to ensure every pupil succeeds

Potential applicants should have:

  • 5 GCSE’s Grade 4/C and above (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
  • A strong understanding of attendance procedures, safeguarding and early help support.
  • Experience of working with children, young people and families to overcome barriers to learning and attendance.
  • The ability to build positive and effective relationships with pupils, parents/carers, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills, together with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
