What skills and experience we're looking for

Richmond Hill Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Attendance and Inclusion Officer. This role is of great importance to our work as an academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting excellent attendance, punctuality and inclusion across the academy. You will work with pupils, families, staff and external agencies to remove barriers to attendance, improve outcomes and strengthen engagement with school. In addition, you will provide administrative and organisational support to the SENDCo, ensuring SEND records, documentation, annual reviews and statutory processes are effectively coordinated.

Potential applicants will have:

  • Grade 4 (C) and above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of attendance improvement strategies and interventions.
  • Experience working collaboratively with parents/carers, external agencies and other professionals to improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Understanding of SEND procedures and statutory processes.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
