About the role:
To provide effective clerical and administrative support for attendance and pastoral functions within a busy secondary Catholic school environment, contributing to the smooth running of the college and supporting the well-being and academic progress of all students.
We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced person, who is ready to play a crucial role in our school community. While experience in a school environment may be advantageous, it is by no means essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records using the school’s management information system
- Monitor daily attendance, follow up on unexplained absences, and contact parents/carers as required
- Produce attendance reports for pastoral and senior leadership teams
- Support the pastoral team with administrative tasks, including preparing documentation for meetings and maintaining confidential student records
- Liaise sensitively with students, parents, and staff to support student welfare and promote excellent attendance
- Assist with the organisation of pastoral interventions, parent meetings, and referrals to external agencies
- Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries via telephone, email, and in-person
- Uphold the values and ethos of a Catholic secondary school and promote an inclusive, caring environment for all students
- Provide general clerical support including word processing, photocopying, filing, and data entry
- Support the safeguarding and welfare of students in line with school policies and procedures
