What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives? Ossett Academy and Accord Sixth Form are seeking to appoint a proactive, compassionate, and driven Attendance & Pupil Support Officer, to support pupils and families by promoting high levels of attendance and encouraging pupils to achieve their full potential.
In this vital role, you will bridge the gap between home and education, building trusted relationships with families and pupils to break down barriers to learning. With a strong focus on reducing persistent absences, particularly among our most disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils, you will collaborate closely with Pastoral Year Leaders, external agencies and our dedicated inclusion teams, to review individual pupils’ attendance and deliver targeted, high-impact attendance strategies and incentive schemes.

The position is on a full-time basis working Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm, with a half an hour unpaid lunch break per day.

Ossett Academy is part of the Accord Multi Academy Trust which is a Wakefield based Trust; all four academies in the Trust are closely located to one another which lends itself to many opportunities to work closely and collaboratively. All academies are within a three-mile radius of one another and can be found a short drive off junction 40 of the M1.
