Euler Academy

Grade 4 - Attendance and Welfare Officer - part time

25 hours per week term time only + 5 training days (195 days) - Monday to Friday 8am - 1pm

Actual starting salary will be £14,407 - £14,869 (£24,790 - £25,584 £ FTE)

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and helping them thrive? We are seeking an Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our dedicated team at Euler Academy special school.

In this vital role, you will work closely with students, families, and school staff to promote regular attendance, monitor absence patterns, and work with safeguarding and the senior leadership team to provide tailored interventions to address the complex barriers that some of our learners’ face.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting home visits, meetings, and welfare checks to understand and address the reasons behind poor attendance
  • Liaising with external agencies such as transport, local authorities, and other external services
  • Developing and implementing attendance action plans
  • Maintaining detailed records to evidence progress and inform future strategies

You will have:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent I.T and organisational skills
  • Have a genuine commitment to supporting the welfare of young people
