Do you want to work in a school where the behaviour and attitudes of students is outstanding, a school which is driven by strong values, a caring ethos and a commitment to educational excellence, and where each and every student knows the gift of life in all its fullness?
St Aidan’s Church of England High School requires an Attendance and Welfare Officer to start as soon as possible. Passionate about the safeguarding and welfare of the young people in our care, you will be recording sensitive absence and attendance information and checking registers for unaccounted absence, whilst ensuring that excellent attendance is appropriately rewarded. You will liaise with other members of staff and parents in order to account for, and follow up on, any unexplained absence or issues with punctuality.
Confident in the use of data analytics, you will provide crucial attendance information to parents, colleagues and other stakeholders as required. You will be willing to uphold the values of the School and respect the highly sensitive and confidential nature of the role.
Previous office experience, strong IT capabilities, being flexible in approach, a strong work ethic, and having the ability to remain calm under pressure, will all be essential qualities in this varied role.
Completed applications should be submitted via My New Term by 9am on Monday, 23rd February 2026.
