Attendance Improvement Officer job summary

Djanogly Learning Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Attendance Improvement Officer for a fixed term period (to the end of March 2025) to work as part of our central team, supporting our academies across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire (travel to these locations will be required). The role is full time but job shares will also be welcomed (to be split as either 2.5 days each or 5 half days each, at the convenience of the candidates).

Across our primary academies, the Attendance Improvement Officer will:

  • contribute to the ultimate aim of raising achievement and outcomes by improving individual pupil and overall academy attendance and reducing persistent absence and improving punctuality.
  • promote positive attitudes in pupils and families towards education and to ensure that parents are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities.
  • provide support to the academy in meeting their obligations and targets in relation to school attendance. especially with persistent absence and punctuality cases.
