Wymondham High is seeking a highly motivated and organised Attendance Manager to lead our whole-school strategy on pupil attendance. This is a key role in supporting our mission to provide every learner with the best possible education through excellent attendance.

About the Role

As Attendance Manager, you will:

  • Lead and implement effective strategies to raise attendance levels and reduce persistent absence across the school.
  • Provide a high standard of attendance system management and administration, ensuring accurate data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Work closely with pupils, families, staff, and external agencies to promote a culture of regular attendance and early intervention.
  • Analyse attendance data and trends to inform strategic planning and targeted support.
  • Contribute to safeguarding by ensuring prompt follow-up on absences and maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong organisational and data management skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Is confident in using attendance management systems
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Is proactive, solution-focused, and committed to improving outcomes for all children.
  • Has experience in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
