About the Role:
Improving attendance is one of our highest priorities at Open Academy. The Attendance Officer will be a key member of our pastoral team, working closely with the Behaviour and Attendance Lead and pastoral leaders to monitor daily attendance, follow up absence promptly with families, and support the early help, intervention and statutory processes that help every student be in school and ready to learn.
As a Church of England academy, our Christian ethos and our values of Aspiration, Perseverance and Respect shape everything we do, and we are looking for a colleague who will share and model them.
We would love to hear from you if:
You are highly organised, confident with data and accurate record-keeping (experience of Arbor or a similar MIS would be an advantage), and able to spot patterns quickly.
You communicate with warmth and firmness in equal measure, building positive relationships with families while holding high expectations, and you are committed to safeguarding and to improving outcomes for young people.

Monday to Thursday, 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3.30pm.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact the school office to book an appointment on 01603 481640.
