Attendance Officer job summary
At Co-op Academy Southfield we are looking for an Attendance Officer to work at our inspiring school. If you are an effective communicator that is able to work closely with pupils, staff, parents and carers to promote pupil attendance at school and contribute to the Co-op ways of being then we’d like to hear from you!
As our Attendance Officer you will work under the guidance of the Senior Deputy Head, within an agreed system of supervision, working flexibly and in collaboration to track, monitor and appropriately action pupil attendance. You will be responsible for implementing the school attendance policies and procedures and support the school in raising attendance, tackling persistent, unauthorised absences and punctuality amongst other key accountabilities.

This role is customer facing and therefore in line with the Immigration Act 2016; all applicants must be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language to the level defined in the Job Description.

Co-op Academy Southfield is part of The Co-op Academies Trust and is co-located with Co-op Academy Grange, a mainstream secondary Academy in Bradford, West Yorkshire, just 15 minutes from Bradford centre.
Co-op Academy Southfield caters for over 400 pupils and we are one of the largest special schools in the country. We have on-site support from other professionals including Speech and Language Therapists, the School Nursing team, Physiotherapy teams as well as support from Social Care and other services. We enjoy close links with education, leisure, sporting and commercial organisations across the locality and we are keen to actively promote these partnerships for the benefit of the children in our care.
