Ark Charter Academy are looking to recruit an energetic and professional Attendance Officer to work with out Safeguarding and Attendance team to increase attendance in the academy so that every student has the opportunity to learn in a disruption free environment.

 

About the role:

Ark Charter Academy is recruiting an energetic and professional Attendance Officer to address systemic attendance issues and lead on our attendance strategy. 

 

The Attendance Officer role is aimed at individuals who value attendance to school and see it as a key driver in young people’s success. We are looking for individuals with a strong desire to address educational disadvantage, model our core values and be committed to ‘making our world a better place.

 

As the Attendance Officer you will promote positive attitudes towards attendance on the part of students and their parents / carers and ensure that students are present at the Academy to derive maximum benefit from their education. You will support vulnerable students and their families to ensure attendance and punctuality are above the national average to ensure they achieve in line with their peers.

 

 

Our ideal candidate will be:

·         Someone who is passionate about students attending school

·         Someone who can work with a variety of people and maintain professional relationships with students/parents or carers/academy staff and outside agencies

·         Someone who is organised and has an eye for detail
