About the Role:

  • To monitor and promote high levels of school attendance and punctuality. 
  • To act as the lead point of contact for the parents/carers of pupils receiving additional support to ensure an effective relationship with school
  • To support pupils in their learning, development and the Academy’s safeguarding policy - working closely with pupils, families and staff.  
  • To provide administrative support to a high standard, supporting the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and administrative teams in an efficient and professional manner

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Proactively enact the Academy’s attendance policy by communicating with parents and carers  
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in attendance and making parents/carers aware of their legal responsibilities 
  • Undertake meetings (EHAP) with parents/carers when persistent absence starts to become evident and to understand the reasons for pupil absence and what actions can be implemented to improve attendance.  
  • Responsibility for monitoring attendance and punctuality for all pupils and to liaise with key staff members as necessary.
  • Promote good attendance at all times

Working Hours

The exact working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate at interview but will fall within our academy hours of Monday to Friday, 08.30am – 04.00pm.

The postholder will be primarily based at Diss Church of England Junior Academy but may be required to work at Diss Infant Academy and Nursery or Scole Church of England Primary Academy.
