Blackpool Sixth is an outstanding college specialising in 16-19 education. We have an exciting opportunity for an Attendance Officer to join our Student Services team. We would however consider applications from those looking for a part time role, but the expectation would be that the successful candidate works a minimum of 20 hours per week over 4 days (the salary will be adjusted accordingly).

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a college-wide team where you will focus on supporting students to improve their attendance and overcome any barriers to this. As an Attendance Officer your focus will be on improving student attendance and punctuality across the college by rigorous monitoring and delivering targeted interventions, as well as providing effective administrative and clerical support to the Student Services team.

This is an ideal post for a person who is passionate about establishing strong rapport with students, removing barriers to attendance and working with individuals to bring about improvement where this is needed. A day in Student Services could see you:

  • Developing and overseeing attendance improvement plans for individual students, setting achievable targets and regularly reviewing progress.
