Attendance Officer job summary

We are seeking a proactive, organised and approachable Attendance Officer to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is a key role within the school, helping to ensure every student has the best opportunity to succeed through excellent attendance and punctuality.

Working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies, you will monitor attendance daily, identify emerging concerns, provide early intervention and support, and contribute to improving attendance across the school. You will build positive relationships with parents and carers, maintain accurate attendance records, and ensure that attendance concerns are addressed promptly, recognising the vital link between attendance, safeguarding, wellbeing and academic achievement.

Alongside attendance responsibilities, you will also support the school's admissions processes, including student admissions, transition arrangements and maintaining accurate records.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, confident communicating with a wide range of people, able to work effectively under pressure, and committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent administrative skills and share our commitment to helping every student be the best version of themselves, we would love to hear from you.
