The Role
This is a key role within our pastoral and safeguarding structure. As Attendance Officer, you will play a vital part in ensuring students attend regularly, arrive on time, and are fully supported to overcome any barriers to attendance.
You will:
Monitor, analyse, and report on attendance data to identify trends and concerns
Work closely with students, families, and staff to improve attendance outcomes
Conduct home visits and engage directly with parents/carers to provide support
Lead and contribute to targeted interventions for students at risk of persistent absence
Ensure compliance with statutory attendance procedures and safeguarding expectations
Your work will directly impact student achievement, wellbeing, and life chances.

Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who brings:
Experience in an administrative or attendance-related role (ideally within education)
Strong organisational and data analysis skills
The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
A proactive and solution-focused approach
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as the role includes home visits to support families.
