Attendance Officer job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the registers, monitoring and tracking pupil attendance and working alongside the SLT and DSL team to support positive attendance across the school.

You will be familiar with school systems, how to link these with other IT programmes to support the monitoring and tracking of pupil attendance. You will have a good understanding of the issues affecting school absence and the legal requirements of attendance. You will have undertaken training as a DDSL or be prepared to undertake training to be part of our strong safeguarding team.

You should be able to work calmly under pressure and to strict guidelines and work with limited supervision as well as be able to build good working relationships with colleagues, pupils and families.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 8.30am-2.30pm Monday to Friday (27.5 hrs per week)

Weeks per year: Term time only, 38 weeks
