Attendance Officer

Salary: NJC Grade C1 Point 6-19, £22,256 - £27,577 per annum (actual)

Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week, 39 Weeks (Term Time + 5 days)

Required: March/April 2026

We are seeking a committed and proactive Attendance Officer to join us at Rainham Mark Grammar School. This is a key role in promoting excellent attendance and ensuring every pupil has the best opportunity to succeed. The successful candidate will monitor and report on whole school attendance data, analyse trends to identify key areas of concern and work closely with pupils, staff, parents and carers to reduce levels of absence. They will take appropriate action where attendance becomes a concern and respond effectively when persistent absence presents safeguarding issues. The role requires strong organisational and analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to build positive and professional relationships. Experience of working within a school environment and knowledge of attendance procedures would be desirable but not essential.
