Job Title: Attendance Officer

Responsible to: Pastoral Deputy Head

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, term time only

Start Date: September 2025

Here at St Joseph's, we are currently seeking to appoint a committed, inclusive and driven individual to lead attendance accross the school. As our Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting excellent attendance and supporting pupil welfare. You will:

• Manage daily attendance processes, including first-day calling and absence tracking.
• Identify and support students with attendance concerns.
• Lead School Attendance Meetings (SAMs) and liaise with families and external agencies.
• Produce detailed reports and work closely with the Pastoral Team.
• Maintain accurate records using SIMS, CPOMs, and ClassCharts.
• Support safeguarding and early intervention strategies.
