What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a diligent and committed Attendance Officer to join our “greatly valued” Pastoral Team (Ofsted Inspection, 2015). Our Pastoral Team are central to the progress of all our pupils and the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work as a crucial part of a thriving and successful team, in a busy office environment focused on ensuring all our pupils are safe, happy and able to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will work alongside key staff to monitor and record pupils’ attendance. The role will involve recording pupil absence and daily contact with parents and staff. In addition, the post-holder will support and liaise closely with the Guidance Managers (Year Leaders) on all matters relating to attendance.

We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent IT skills, specifically data processing and Office 365. Strong organisational skills, along with the ability to work to deadlines, are essential. Candidates should have a good level of literacy and numeracy (equivalent to at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English) and excellent inter-personal skills.
