What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a well-motivated and experienced colleague to work proactively to make positive relationships with individual and groups of pupils and their families, in collaboration with the Attendance Manager and Guidance Teams to improve the attendance of those pupils who are severely absent. This role will involve actively working 1:1 with pupils and where transport is the barrier, bringing these pupils in, to work in the school’s bridge facility. A significant amount of the working day will involve home visits and knocking on doors to help pupils get into school. The Attendance Support Officer will be the colleague working with these pupils in the school’s bridge facility.
Applications would be welcome from colleagues with experience of working with pupils in a school setting or from those who have worked with young people in social care or other alternative settings.
