We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Attendance Welfare Coordinator who can work in a fast paced environment.

Humberston Academy places its students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning and increased student attainment, achievement, and social and emotional development.

You will provide operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies in order to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absences, in line with our academy targets.

Our attendance and pastoral team go above and beyond to support students school learning. This has led to Humberston Academy achieving an ‘Outstanding’ status in ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ and ‘Personal Development’.

Therefore, the successful candidate must be organised, a good communicator, approachable, have strong IT skills and have a positive attitude towards staff and students.

Applicants must have a clean, current driving licence and access to a vehicle to carry out home visits.

Humberston Academy is an oversubscribed academy located in an affluent area of North East Lincolnshire. Ofsted graded the school outstanding in ‘behaviour and attitudes’ and ‘personal development’. Humberston Academy achieved ‘World Class Schools’ status in December 2019 and re-accredited in 2022. About the role

  • Work closely with the Attendance Information Officer, drawing on indicators that reveal barriers to attendance, identifying solutions to removing these barriers and liaising with pupils, parents and external agencies in securing improvement.
  • The ability to drive is essential, along with owning your own vehicle.
  • Work with individual pupils and their family in setting targets for improved attendance and reviewing success on a regular basis, always intervening to sustain improvement.
  • Maintain robust chronologies outlining all communication, support and intervention for individual pupils who do not attend well in school
