What skills and experience we're looking for
What you'll bring:
- Primary or Secondary Teaching experience with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience working with children with ASD in a school or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of ASD characteristics, behaviour management techniques, and assistive technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Passion, patience, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of children with ASD.

What you'll do:
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD, focusing on their specific strengths and challenges.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth, independence, and self-confidence.
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions to address the diverse learning needs of students with ASD.
- Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to classroom staff to promote understanding and effective management of ASD-related behaviours.
- Stay current on best practices and research in the field of ASD education, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.
