Bank staff Playworkers job summary

POST: Pre-School Bank Staff Playworkers (Casual contract)

START DATE: As soon as possible

Our experienced Preschool is looking for playworkers to join their growing team of bank staff to support in setting with named children, day sickness, pre-arranged absences and support as and when required. The bank staff team are a casual contract member of the school community that can be contacted to provide support on an ad hoc basis allowing for flexibility on both sides.

The role involves working closely with the children providing encouragement, friendship and supervision. To assist in offering the children a wide range of play activities and ensuring that the preschool offers the children a relaxed, informed and caring environment.

Key Accountabilities

1. Assist in the preparation of snacks, cleaning away and washing up when required.

2. To be responsible to a group of children or supervision of a named child

3. Assist in ensuring that the children are safe at all times and drawing to the attention of the manager any likely causes of danger.

4. To attend training sessions occasionally if required at a mutually agreed time and date.

6. To undertake any other task as required by management within the purpose of the job.

7. To offer ideas and participate in new and improved play activities.

8. To help set out activities before the children arrive.

9. To assist children with personal care when appropriate as designated by the Manager or Teacher in charge.
