What skills and experience we're looking for

John Smeaton Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Beacon Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, within the Beacon department - our mainstream academy SEND and Inclusion provision, to support the teacher on implementing a curriculum which is tailored to individual needs, enabling pupils to reach their full potential.

Potential applicants should have:

• Good numeracy/literacy skills.
• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
• Ability to relate well to children and young people.
