Beaumont Primary Academy - Vice Principal job summary

As Vice Principal, you’ll support the Principal in delivering a high-quality, inclusive education that meets the needs of all learners. You’ll lead on teaching, learning, curriculum development, staff development, and whole-school improvement, ensuring high standards, equality, and a culture of continuous progress.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strong, strategic leadership in line with the Academy’s vision and values

  • Driving improvements in teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum design

  • Supporting and developing staff through coaching, CPD, and performance management

  • Managing day-to-day operations and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment

  • Working in partnership with stakeholders and the wider community to raise outcomes for all students

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of school improvement

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills

  • Is committed to collaboration, equity, and community engagement

  • Has a deep understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, and educational standards

Beaumont Primary Academy opened in September 2016 and will be up to Year 4 in September 2020. When it reaches capacity, it will be a 650 place 2-11 academy and is situated in the grounds of Moor End Academy in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield and near to the award winning Beaumont Park. In September, numbers are expected to be approximately 360. As part of South Pennine Academies, Beaumont Primary Academy is well supported by a successful Trust team led by the CEO, Jane Acklam OBE.
