Before and After School Club Manager job summary
Hillcroft Primary is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Before and After School Club Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, working 31.25 hours per week (7:00–9:30am and 2:30–6:15pm). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about creating a safe, supportive and engaging wrap‑around care environment for our children. You will play a key role in leading the day‑to‑day running of the club, ensuring high‑quality provision that supports our pupils’ wellbeing, enrichment and enjoyment before and after the school day.
Your opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the Before & After School Club at Hillcroft Primary, creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for our children. As Before & After School Club Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running and long-term development of the provision, planning engaging activities, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring high standards of care. You will also work closely with parents, staff, and the wider school community to support each child’s wellbeing and development, while overseeing administration, safeguarding, and staff supervision. This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives within a supportive and collaborative school environment.
What we are looking for
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- NVQ Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and encourage engaging, inclusive play
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Friendly, approachable, and resilient with a supportive team spirit
- Committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
