What skills and experience we're looking for
St Joseph’s RCP School are currently seeking a Playworker. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist in the delivery of age appropriate and creative play opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play for the children in a safe and caring environment.
- Maintain a register of the children on arrival and departure.
- Assist in the preparation and provide breakfast/snacks/refreshments to the children following food hygiene practices and clean up afterwards.
- Prepare and set up room as required, ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the club’s facilities during opening hours and that the room is left clean and tidy.
- Administer basic first aid as required and maintain accurate records in the accident book.
- Undertake the personal care of children as required, including toileting, dressing, and any sickness.
- Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- Work alongside and maintain good relationships with colleagues ensuring you can work as a team.
