Behaviour and Reflection Manager job summary

The Coleshill School is seeking to appoint a committed and compassionate Behaviour and Reflection Manager to play a key role in supporting our students’ wellbeing, behaviour and engagement with learning. This is an important pastoral role focused on ensuring that all students feel safe, included and ready to learn. The successful candidate will work proactively with students, staff and families to remove barriers to learning, promote positive behaviour and support emotional wellbeing.

Through consistent guidance, targeted interventions and strong professional relationships, the Behaviour and Reflection Manager will help create and maintain a calm, respectful and ambitious school environment where every student is supported to achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality pastoral, behavioural and reflective support for students.
  • Work directly with students who require additional behavioural or emotional support.
  • Lead reflection and restorative processes to help students learn from behavioural incidents.
  • Deliver targeted interventions that support improved engagement and positive conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and senior leaders to maintain high standards of behaviour.
  • Build strong relationships with families to support students effectively.
  • Monitor behaviour and engagement data to identify trends and implement supportive strategies.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion across the school.

  • Experience of working with young people in an educational, pastoral or behaviour support role.
  • Be calm, resilient and able to build positive, trusting relationships with students.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to promoting high expectations, inclusion and student wellbeing.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team while also using initiative.
