Excellent behaviour that ensures disruption-free learning is the foundation upon which our school is built on. You will be joining a Behaviour department that currently consists of a team of four people and which is absolutely pivotal to both our past improvements and future successes. At Holmleigh Park, we pride ourselves on simple but exceptionally clear behaviour systems that empower both young people and our staff. We are now further increasing our Behaviour department so that we continue to make an even bigger impact and provide additional support for our young people.

Main Purposes of the Role:

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and flexible practitioner who can add capacity in these main areas:

  • Supporting the school Behaviour department and to uphold the school's behaviour policy.
  • Supporting students to be the best possible versions of themselves.
  • Proactively working together as part of a team.

It is anticipated that this role will be primarily based in the Behaviour department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Being on call to resolve any student behaviour issues during the school day.
  • Deescalate situations which have the potential to lead to negative outcomes.
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff and families.
  • Support all areas of the Behaviour department (OSP, IR, ALP).
  • Support Academic Preparation.
  • Day to day administration tasks include registering students, updating the Quick Contacts database and sending electronic correspondence to parents.
  • Leading 1:1 and small group interventions with students in order to reduce negative behaviours.
  • Supervise students in all areas of the Behaviour department during lunch and break times.
  • Communicating with parents.
  • Any other tasks as reasonably directed by the Head of Behaviour or members of the Senior Leadership Team.
