What skills and experience we're looking for

We are now looking for a Behaviour Support and Alternative Provision Manager at Maiden Erlegh School.

This role will be responsible for assisting with and promoting key behaviour management processes and procedures across the school and organising Alternative Provision settings for students. The successful candidate will liaise heavily with the safeguarding and pastoral teams regarding behaviour interventions for students and timetabling changes, plus the completion of all administration associated with these.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working within an alternative provision or pastoral support role in a school or social care context.
  • Experience of communicating with parents and outside agencies.
  • Resilience when dealing with vulnerable/ disaffected students.
  • The ability to offer a firm but friendly approach and be self-confident in dealing with young people.

The successful applicant will enjoy working with 11-18-year-olds. You must be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and be able to work as part of team.
