Christ the King College is a joint Church of England and Catholic College on the Isle of Wight, providing a Christian education underpinned by Gospel values and reflecting both Church of England and Catholic traditions. It operates under the auspices of both the Church of England and Catholic Dioceses of Portsmouth.
The school has over 1,100 students on roll, including a Sixth Form College of about 200 students. It is a well-established comprehensive school, which is well supported by parents and highly respected in the community.

We wish to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to work as part of a highly successful Pastoral team, to assist with the day-to-day running of the behaviour support provisions in place at Christ the King College, providing a safe and calm learning environment for students who exhibit challenging behaviours and/or require short term withdrawal from lessons or alternative provision. Experience of working with young people is essential.

These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicants will be expected to undertake enhanced DBS checks and online checks that involve screening of social media profiles of shortlisted candidates for education/College roles.
