About You:

We are looking for a passionate individual to build strong relationships with our students and their families. As a Behaviour Support Officer at Thistley Hough Academy, you will play a key role in safeguarding, participating in multi-agency meetings, and ensuring a positive atmosphere during lessons. With no two days the same, your role will be dynamic and engaging, involving responding to on-call situations, monitoring truancy hotspots, and supporting the Internal Exclusion room. You'll work closely with parents and carers, providing behaviour support, leading restorative interventions, and promoting parent and carer evenings. At Thistley Hough Academy, we value teamwork, confidentiality, and a commitment to student welfare, making this an exciting opportunity to make a real difference.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • 2+ years of experience with challenging behaviour.
  • Skills in one-on-one support and group work.
  • Experience with vulnerable students.
  • Knowledge of effectively implementing school behaviour policies.
