JOB TITLE: Communications Manager
BASED AT: BEST House, Shefford
SALARY/GRADE RANGE: NJC Level CBG10, point 28 to 30 (FTE £37,938 to £39,513)
REPORTING TO: Chief Operating Officer
HOURS: 37 hours a week Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year
The Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST) is looking to appoint a skilled and strategic Communications Manager work closely with our schools to enhance communication, build strong relationships with key stakeholders and help shape the Trust’s reputation both locally and nationally. This is a pivotal role within the central team and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, managing media relations, overseeing digital content, supporting marketing initiatives, and organising events. Your work will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and success of BEST Trust and our schools, ensuring clear, effective communication across all channels.
BEST is a multi-academy trust providing exceptional education across our community of 11 schools and five nurseries. Since forming in 2016, we have grown significantly into one of the largest single employers in Central Bedfordshire. We now educate around 8,000 children across the area, from nursery age to advanced level study. It is our aim to grow the BEST in everyone, and everything we do is driven by our values, but our aims can only be achieved if we recruit, retain and develop the highest quality workforce – and we want those we employ to be valued in the workplace.
