We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and hard-working playworkers to join our staff team. The playleader role will be to work as a team of two, to run a new wrap-around provision which will enhance children’s experience at school by providing high-quality and enjoyable sessions before and after school.
There are 2 positions available for the Breakfast Club and 2 for the After-School Club. Applicants are welcome to apply for either or both roles, and should specify their preference(s) clearly in the personal statement section of the application form.
The vision for the club is to have provision for those needing childcare but also have different themes and activities, which will be beneficial to any family wanting their children to have enjoyable extra-curricular opportunities after school.
The provision will include catering for snacks, light meals and the opportunity to involve the children in the preparation of snacks and food.
The new provision is funded by the Norfolk local authority wrap-around project for the first two terms and will continue after this, provided there is sufficient take-up from school families for the clubs. The breakfast club operating hours will be 7:45am to 8:30am and the after-school club from 3:15pm to 4:45pm, daily in term time. The weekly hours advertised include 15 minutes each day for planning and preparation time.
The wrap-around clubs will be well-resourced, based in the school hall which has an adjoined kitchen area, and with access to the outdoors.
