We are seeking a friendly and reliable Breakfast Club Assistant to create a warm, well organised start to the school day. You will welcome pupils, prepare simple healthy breakfasts, and lead calm, engaging activities so children are ready to learn at registration.
You will:
- Set up the Breakfast Club space, prepare and serve simple breakfast items
- Welcome and supervise pupils, promoting positive behaviour and routines.
- Lead quiet, age appropriate activities that build social skills and readiness to learn.
- Be vigilant to safeguarding, welfare or medical needs and follow school procedures, reporting concerns promptly.
We are looking for someone who is/has
- A calm, caring and proactive approach with confidence managing groups of children.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow safeguarding and food hygiene procedures.
- Experience supporting or supervising children (as a parent/carer, club leader or in a school) is desirable.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 and First Aid certificates are desirable (or willingness to train).
Working Hours
The exact working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate at interview but will fall within our academy hours.
