Breakfast Club Coordinator job summary
The Ferrars Academy is a very popular, successful and well resourced academy with a well established and supportive leadership team; rated Good by Ofsted, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence in education, for our infant and nursery children. We are located in Luton on the Luton/Dunstable border, close to the M1, A5 link roads and the L&D hospital. Our 3 form entry school has children who are well behaved and learn in a vibrant and friendly environment.
Our Wraparound Care provision is one of the essential services we offer our parent community. We are looking to recruit a highly committed and passionate person to join our team. As the co-ordinator, you will be responsible for organising, developing and leading the provision, ensuring that it provides high quality care for the children who attend.
We are looking for candidates with experience of working with children, who hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare. First Aid and Basic Hygiene certificates would be desirable.
This is a permanent, term time only position starting as soon as possible.
The role could suit those who have other jobs and want to earn extra money or even students that have mornings free and need a part time job. We also have a vacancy for an After School Club Coordinator, which you would be welcome to also apply for, alongside this role.
About you
The successful candidate will be someone who can:
- Engage effectively with the children in their care
- Greet parents and children in a welcoming manner
- Plan, set up and engage in recreational activities and the provision of healthy food
- Ensure children are safe and happy
- Play and interact with the children
- Clear away snacks and activities leaving a tidy environment
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, be flexible and model good communication skills
- Read stories to the children
- Display high expectations of pupil behaviour
- Work well as part of a team

Hours of work:
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 9:00am, term time only (38 weeks per year)

Additional information:
