Breakfast Club Playworker job summary

We are looking for a skilled, committed and enthusiastic person to be a Breakfast Club Play Worker at Ruskin Academy.

Reporting directly to the SLT and Head of School, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting children during breakfast club, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment is maintained and that all children behave in an appropriate manner. This role covers a range of activities to ensure that breakfast at school is a safe and effective part of children’s education and development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who will bring organisation and commitment to this role, ensuring all duties are completed to the highest standard. You will need to be personable and have good communication skills.

Your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • To deliver a wide range of creative and enjoyable inside and outside play activities for children at the extended services clubs.

  • To include specific activities to promote healthy lifestyles and healthy eating. To serve refreshments.

  • To ensure there is a secure and welcoming facility to support, motivate and supervise pupils.

  • To be responsible for the safeguarding and conduct of all pupils.
