Breakfast Club Playworker job summary
Horley Infant School is looking for a warm, reliable and enthusiastic Breakfast Club Assistant to join our friendly wraparound care team. This role is Term Time only, 8 hours per week, 38 weeks per year working Monday: 7:30 - 9:00, Tuesday: 7:15 - 9:00, Wednesday: 7:15 - 9:00, Thursday: 7:30 - 9:00 and Friday 7:30 - 9:00.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and wants a rewarding part-time role that fits perfectly around family life, study or other commitments.
You’ll play a key role in creating a calm, positive and engaging start to the school day, helping our children feel happy, safe and ready to learn.

We are look for someone who can:
- Creating a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment

We are looking for someone who:
- Is friendly, energetic and caring
- Enjoys working with young children
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Is confident working independently and as part of a team
- Brings enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude
Desirable experience (but not essential):
- Experience in a playwork or childcare setting (1+ year)
- A Level 2 (or above) playwork qualification
- Training in first aid or food hygiene (training can be provided)
