Building Development and Premises Manager job summary

The school’s Governors wish to appoint a conscientious and hardworking Building Development and Premises Manager.

The successful candidate will

  • ensure building statutory compliance
  • planning and investigation of new works, as required by the Headteacher
  • work closely with the Headteacher
  • provide advice over new works to the Headteacher
  • project management of new works
  • development and management of new/existing works to maximise building usage and generate income.
  • liaising with external agents over new/existing works or building developements

This person will also play a crucial role in our School’s Health & Safety Team, to assist with general varied duties throughout the site, to liaise with external agencies and contractors, and to lead on the school as a positive environment.

The successful candidate must be able to complete minor DIY repairs and have general maintenance skills and knowledge. The candidate must be well organised and able to use his/her own initiative, and provide advice and guidance for the Headteacher as required, on building development and maintenance.
