Business Support Manager job summary
Working Pattern: 37 hours a week Term time, plus 2 weeks in the holidays.
We are looking to appoint a School Business Support Manager to join the Trust. This is a new role and along with a deputy and an accounts payable clerk will manage the operations for the following 6 schools:
Alderton Infants/Juniors, Epping Upland, Lambourne, Oak View and Ivy Chimneys.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting staff: Providing guidance and training on systems and processes, and ensuring staff have the resources they need to perform their roles effectively.
Process improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in workflows and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Data analysis and reporting: Collecting and analysing performance data, identifying trends and risks, and reporting findings to management.
Financial management: Managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial compliance.
Project management: Managing internal IT projects or other initiatives to improve business operations.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and policies.
Relationship management: Building and maintaining relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and clients.
Essential Skills:Strong leadership and management skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and provide performance feedback.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications: Including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to problems.
Organisational and time management skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Financial acumen: Understanding of budgets, expenses, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and policies: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The role will be based centrally; however, occasional travelling between academies within the Trust will be required.
