Careers Administration Support job summary

Are you organised, enthusiastic, and keen to make a difference in young people’s futures? Thamesmead School (Shepperton, TW17) is seeking a Careers Administration Support colleague to join our friendly and dedicated team.

About the Role

As Careers Administration Support, you will play a vital part in supporting our Careers Department, helping students to access opportunities and plan their next steps. You will assist in the organisation of careers interviews, events, work experience placements and more. The role is varied and rewarding, offering the chance to work closely with staff, students, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Careers, Enterprise and Employability Education.
  • Organise and support careers events, including our annual Careers Fair and Year 11 Practice Interview Day.
  • Maintain databases, track student destinations, and manage communications with parents, staff, and external organisations.
  • Support students with college applications and CVs, particularly those with additional needs.
  • Update and maintain careers resources and noticeboards.
  • Assist in the organisation of work experience and external events.

  • Previous experience in administration (school experience is desirable)
