What skills and experience we're looking for

John Smeaton Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational Careers Advisor. This role is crucial to our work as an academy, with the successful candidate responsible for providing information, advice, and guidance to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them make informed and realistic choices about their future education, training, and career paths.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • A good honours degree or a relevant Level 6 qualification.
  • The ability to build meaningful relationships with young people aged 11-16.
  • Experience in providing information, advice, and guidance to young people within this age range.
