Careers Coordinator job summary

The Careers Coordinator will work within the Student Services management team and will play a pivotal role supporting the Futures team to develop and deliver aspirational and engaging careers information, advice and guidance programmes that prepares students for their next steps within education and their chosen career.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of designing and providing a comprehensive employability service while also have the confidence and ability to engage with employers and students. The postholder will work to develop internal and external careers related partnerships.

If you are successful, you would play a vital role in the College, which is graded as ‘outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted. We excel in providing a broad, inclusive and high quality education to all of our learners, which has resulted in some of the highest levels of progression to Higher Education in the sector. In 2023, students at Joseph Chamberlain College achieved outstanding exam results.

Our College is situated within easy reach of Birmingham City Centre, in a state-of-the-art building with superbly equipped classrooms and outstanding facilities.

Hours of work will be full-time, term-time only plus 10 additional days.

The salary for this post is paid on the Support Staff Pay Scale at point 22, currently £39,957 FTE which will be adjusted in line with the term-time plus 10 days contract.
