We are seeking an ambitious, organised and inspirational Careers Manager to lead and develop our academy’s Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme.
Working strategically with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will ensure that careers provision is fully aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory guidance, enabling every student to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make informed decisions about their future.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the academy's CEIAG strategy.
- Advise the Senior Leadership Team on careers education policy, statutory requirements and best practice.
- Design, coordinate and evaluate the whole-school careers programme
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with employers, training providers, universities and colleges.
Pay Range:
- NJC SCP 22-24 £26,203.78 - £27,536.13 (FTE: £34,811.00 - £36,581.00)
- Full Time (32.5 hours)
- Term Time Only (38 weeks + 2 days)
- Permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/or equivalent or above including English and Maths.
- Experience of careers education in an educational setting.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and pupils.
- Ability to deal with a wide range of people using multiple forms of communication.
- Detailed knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory careers guidance.

Ousedale School is a very successful two campus academy with an outstanding track record of results at both GCSE and A Level. We have been in the top 2% in the country for our A Level results for the past 10 years. At GCSE our results over the last year have been consistently outstanding, particularly in the core areas.
