What skills and experience we're looking for
Abbeyfield Primary Academy is seeking a caretaker to join our staff team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently across the school site, including: maintaining lighting, heating, cleaning, maintenance, statutory checks, porterage and handy person duties.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is self-directed, flexible and able to work independently
- Is honest and responsible
- Has experience of caretaking or maintenance
- Is committed to working well with colleagues, developing and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Will work between 10am and 6pm during term time with the possibility to work more flexible hours in the school holidays.
- Is keen to learn and develop
It would be desirable to
- Have knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act and COSHH regulations.
- Understand Fire Procedures, Regulations and appropriate safety procedures.
However, this is not essential as training can be provided.
