We are looking to recruit a Caretaker to work as a member of our busy Premises Team. The successful applicant will enjoy working with people; be reliable and flexible; have DIY skills; and undertake a range of duties around the building and grounds, including opening and closing the building as well as ensuring site security.
You will work with the RGS Premises Team carrying out response maintenance work, compliance testing & monitoring, and ensuring that the sites are safe and secure at Redland Green School and Claremont School (located on the RGS campus) as well as the school’s sports ground at Kellaway Avenue. You will also support the planned maintenance programme, and monitor the repair and maintenance work of contractors on site. The role will include day to day duties such as litter picking, porterage and emergency cleaning duties, and fire panel control responsibilities in the event of an evacuation. You will find plenty of variety and be a proactive part of a small team of Premises Staff. Your contract of employment is directly with Gatehouse Green Learning Trust (“the Trust"). This role works across Redland Green School sites, and on occasions you may be deployed to work at any school within the Trust and carry out those duties that may be reasonably required in relation to such deployment.
